A creditors’ meeting is not a meeting you need to join. You do not need to speak to your creditors, join a video call or attend in person.
Your Insolvency Practitioner deals with this meeting on your behalf

While you are waiting
To avoid delays, please continue to follow the points below.
✅ Answer our calls and reply to WhatsApp messages as soon as you can.
✅ Tell us straight away if your income, bills or household situation changes.
✅ Tell us if your income, bills, rent, mortgage or household changes.
✅ Send us any letters or messages from creditors that you are worried about.
❌ Do not apply for new credit while you are waiting for the outcome.
❌ Do not ignore messages from the aftercare team, as this could delay your case.
Still hearing from creditors?
This is normal before your IVA is approved. Letters, calls, texts and emails may continue. Send us anything you are worried about and we’ll let you know what to do.
Could creditors ask for changes?
Sometimes creditors ask for small changes before agreeing to an IVA. These are usually called modifications.
What kind of changes?
They may ask for a change to wording, contributions, overtime arrangements or the length of the IVA
Will you explain them?
Yes. If anything important is requested, we will explain it clearly before asking you to agree.
Common Questions
Do I need to attend the creditor meeting?
No. Your Insolvency Practitioner represents you. You do not need to speak to creditors.
When will I know the result?
We will contact you once the outcome is confirmed. This may be by phone, WhatsApp, text or email.
Can my IVA be rejected?
It can happen. If it does, we will explain your options and talk you through what happens next.
What if I miss your call?
We will try again and may also send you a WhatsApp message, text or email.
Can creditors still contact me?
Yes. Contact can continue until the IVA is formally approved.
What shoud I do if something changes?
Message the aftercare team straight away so your file can be updated.
